Restaurante Viura

The restaurant has stylish interiors and carefully chosen artwork, and the setting suggests a refined, world-class meal. But the service at first didn’t live up to that image. Our assigned waiter was distant and inattentive, with a dismissive tone, and the experience was disappointing for a restaurant in a luxury hotel with this reputation. The person who brought our wine was professional and courteous. After we politely shared our concerns with him, he kindly took over service for the rest of the meal. His attention and manner were a welcome improvement. I speak Spanish fluently, and I’m American. We were dining with two friends who are native Spaniards. We wondered whether we might have been treated better if we’d spoken English from the start, since the hotel seems to cater mainly to international tourists. For a restaurant of this caliber, hospitality should be consistently strong. I hope management takes the feedback seriously, because the setting and concept deserve better service.

The decor is really nice, but service was very slow. The food and prices were okay.

The food was good, though overpriced for what it was. They started getting breakfast ready while we were still eating dinner. The dulce de leche is worth trying.

The decoration is perfect, and the food was quite an experience. We tried the €60 menu and loved the plates, each with completely different flavors. A nice place, and worth the price.
