Casa Alval

Cleanliness was excellent, and the bedrooms were comfortable, each with its own bathroom, which matters a lot. The big living room gave all 23 of us plenty of space to gather for Valentine's Day in February. Casa Alval is incredibly spacious, and the kitchen is spectacular. Having an industrial dishwasher was a real bonus, and we had lots of fun with the foosball table. The host was a 10/10, and we'll definitely return for another family get-together. Only drawback: the microwave feels small for a group this size, so having two would be better.

Getting to the patio means crossing a busy road, something the listing doesn't mention. The mattresses were uncomfortable, and the small beds creaked whenever you moved. There wasn't enough cutlery for our 19 people, and the industrial-style kitchen was awkward to use. It didn't even have a toaster.

I liked the town, and it's close to Madrid. The house does work for big groups as advertised, but the kitchen supplies aren't enough for that many people. It's a large kitchen, yet there's no toaster or blender. Reaching the patio means crossing the street, and the BBQ sits on a tiny terrace beside the kitchen. The bedrooms are fine, each with a bathroom, but the beds creak and are really uncomfortable.

This was our second year here, and the house and service have left us delighted again. The host was always available to answer questions or help when we needed something. It's set up well for a big family or group, with a bathroom, TV, and air conditioning in every bedroom, plus a huge dining room downstairs where everyone can sit together. We also made good use of the garden and pool to cool off on hot days. The town is lovely, and there's a supermarket for last-minute bits. We've had a fantastic time and highly recommend it.
