Behind the house, trails climb the mountain to lookout points, and crossing over leads to a scenic lagoon, a nudist beach, and a camping spot. The home sits at La Cala's highest point, so parking is available in every season. There are broad grounds with a pool, sports courts, and recreation areas, and wheelchair ramps at all entrances. It's fairly quiet, with a mountain and road on one side and housing on the other. For a permanent stay, a car would help since the beach and shops are a 12-15-minute walk away, though cafés are closer. I visit from time to time. On Saturdays the outer road closes for a market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

From our apartment we could see the mountain, the city, and part of the beach and sea. There’s plenty on site too: a pool, basketball and football courts, paddle tennis, ping pong, and a play area for kids. Poniente’s beaches, water park, and jet skis are nearby, as are Benidorm’s shops, clubs, and restaurants. A lovely spot.

There was no chance to unwind. Reggaeton blared around the pool for hours, and people were noisy in the early morning too. I'm giving it one star only because zero isn't an option. Hard to believe they let everyone do whatever they want without considering anyone else.

I spent a month and a half here and thought the residence was really nice. But I never once saw anyone cleaning the pool in the morning, and hair and other residue were left at the bottom 😱
