Camping El Torres

The showers were our one real issue. They were cleaned often, but need updating. Hot water was hit and miss because it relies on solar energy, and the floor was impossible to keep dry. The beachside location is great. It's a 30-minute walk to town and the lively seafront, and there's a lovely coastal path the other way towards Benidorm. The bar and restaurant are handy and reasonably priced, the staff were very helpful, and the shop was useful.

We were out sightseeing most of the day, and there are plenty of places nearby to visit. The construction next door made some noise, but it didn't bother us. The pitches were spacious, shaded, and very reasonably priced. The bathrooms were clean and pleasant, with plenty of hot water. Reception staff were cheerful and helpful, and the beach is right there.

The pitches were spacious enough for a table and chairs, and the toilets were good. The showers were clean, hot, and powerful, but there was no proper drain for the water spilling onto the floor. The bar, laundry, and shop were all useful. The beach is incredibly close, and the walk along it to Villajoyosa is lovely, though there are lots of steps and some scrambling. We were staying in a motorhome, and the location made a great first impression. Nearby flat construction was noisy, and the restaurant food was a serious letdown: a rubbery burger and chewy steak. The receptionist was generally helpful, but said she'd never heard other complaints about the restaurant. We later checked Tripadvisor and found plenty of criticism of the food and poor service. One young waiter spent most of his time looking at his phone.

We had a standard pitch, which was easily big enough for our motorhome and chairs. The site was lovely, with a great spot for the beach and nice walks to Villajoyosa and La Cala Finestrat. Highly recommend.
