The restaurants and bars are great, and everything is close by. We were practically staying on the beach and really enjoyed our time here. We’ll definitely be back.

We had a fabulous stay as a group of four, and the owner and Gaby, the local rep, made us feel very welcome. The house has everything you could need, with quirky French objet d'art and an eclectic bohemian feel. It’s a beautiful little fisherman's cottage in the casas de colores/ casco historico district of Villajoyosa, right on the seafront and just a few yards from a lovely sandy beach with nice swimming potential. The house is spread over four floors. The top floor has a balcony with a table and four chairs, plus gorgeous sea views. In April the choice of restaurants open at night is limited, but we never had to cook. The beach shops don’t sell milk or bread, so you’ll need to climb the big hill into town to a proper supermercado. There’s also a lovely old busker with a red Strat copy who entertained us handsomely most days 😀🎸.
