Hotel Venezuela

The location is very good.

I only ended up here because the Alberque was closed and I really needed somewhere to stay. For €35, it wasn’t satisfactory. The room was tiny, damp, and had mold because there was no ventilation. It also wasn’t very clean and was so noisy that I needed earplugs to sleep. I wouldn’t recommend it.

There’s no elevator, and the rooms are cold. They run the heating for five hours, but it barely warms the place. The rooms are awful and have almost no electrical outlets: one is above your head in the middle of the bed, and another is in the bathroom. The manager or owner comes into rooms without warning. Calling this a hotel is a stretch; it’s more like a guesthouse. Avoid it if you can. It’s disgraceful.

There’s a supermarket, bars, and cafes just a few minutes away, so the location is convenient. It’s an older place, but it’s clean, and the staff are friendly. Having a bathtub is nice on cold days. Staff don’t seem to be on duty all the time, so you have to use the intercom if you need something. The stairs are steep and there’s no elevator, though the hotel is wheelchair accessible.
