Hotel Villamayor by gaiarooms

The hostess was super friendly, and breakfast was very good, with toast and freshly baked pastries. The room was clean and the beds really comfortable. Amazing value for money, rooms at this price are hard to find now!

We were given a different room from the one I rented, which was supposed to have a double bed and the pink chair. I haven’t had any reply or other response about it. We were lied to, and the management and service were terrible. If the rooms don’t match the photos, why post those photos at all?

The price was the best thing about the stay, and the other guests were considerate and quiet. The bathroom had clean linens and towels and was equipped with everything acceptable; the bed was spacious. There’s no human reception, so everything runs through your mobile and a screen on the lobby wall. You need access to your email on your phone for that. I didn’t check whether the radiators worked, and the air conditioning warmed the room quickly. I warmed the bathroom through the bedroom door to avoid any problems. There’s no desk or luggage rack, and aside from the bedside tables, the only piece of furniture is one chair. Overall, I had a positive experience.

Everything is handled through an app and phone, which feels quite impersonal, and the elevator wasn’t working. The couple who brought breakfast were incredibly kind, though, and reminded us how much human interaction matters. I don’t think this is a great fit for elderly people who need that sort of help and support from hotel staff.
