There’s a good sized room and a huge shared living area, plus a kitchen with a fridge, microwave, and so on. I’d seen a very negative review on booking.com and was a bit concerned, so I went to see the property first and paid directly. It was very good.

A comfortable, pleasant place to stay in Villanueva de los Infantes.

The heating couldn’t be adjusted, and it got so hot that we had to open the windows. The plants were withered, too. We spent a weekend with friends, and the house was very dirty. I don’t know whether there’s cleaning staff, but if there is, the owners should check that everything is in order. If not, some of the income should go toward keeping the place clean.

We didn’t have a reservation, but the woman who welcomed us was very kind and treated us wonderfully. She even came to let us know that the town had a holiday that afternoon and the shops and bars would close, so we could buy anything we needed beforehand. The house is spectacular, with a living room and kitchen. The town is beautiful, and the food is excellent.

The owners are warm, lovely people who know the town’s history and offer thoughtful advice to help you make the most of your stay. The local food was spectacular, too. It’s a roomy, comfortable house, a great place to rest and switch off. The furnishings are original, and it has all the comforts you need. I’ll definitely come back next summer for a few days with my wife and children.
