Cuenca Suites La Antigua Posada

It’s close to Cuenca and the service was excellent. The house is well kept and equipped, with spacious, comfortable, clean rooms that have everything you need. There are shared areas too. Highly recommended.

The owner was really nice, and the place was warm with good connections to the city. But the tiny TV and awful, noisy sofa were a letdown, and we both woke up with back pain. It was generally fine, though for the price we expected a little more.

We had several meals at Hotel Valmar and they were very good. Breakfast had toast, jams, juice, coffee and pastries. For lunch we had Asturian bean stew, pork loin in pepper sauce and dessert. Dinner was fish soup, chicken thighs in sauce and dessert. The house is a lovely spot to unwind a short way from Cuenca, and it’s great for a few days exploring the area. The rooms are comfortable and have what you need. With seven rooms and a shared dining room, it works well for a few couples to gather, though it’s just as nice for one person. Very good overall.

We came as a family and used two rooms with our baby. They were so accommodating, and even had a portable crib available if we needed one. The service was incredibly friendly, and the rooms are very well equipped. The kitchen, dining room and terraces are comfortable and cool, and it felt like home.
