El Molino de Bretún - Casa Garduña

The cabins are lovely, and nature is right there all around you. With fresh air and such a quiet atmosphere, it’s easy to forget the outside world for a while. We’ll be back.

We liked the rustic look, but the stay left us disappointed. In the small unit, the loft was very uncomfortable even though it was mentioned beforehand: the ceiling was low, and the mattress was on the floor. The road was in terrible shape, there were no lights when we arrived at night, and the parking area felt dangerous when turning around in the dark. There was no hot water in the kitchen, unpleasant smells, and no natural light in the living room or kitchen. They didn’t offer solutions, so it felt like take it or leave it. By the time you discover these problems, you’ve already paid a high price. We won’t come back and can’t recommend it.

We stayed at the end of July with our two-month-old and our dog, and had a wonderful time. The owners were incredibly kind and generous, and we’re grateful for everything. The house is cozy and comfortable, with a modern kitchen and plenty of utensils, good heating, and warm, new linens. It’s also in a beautiful, peaceful natural setting. We’d happily stay there again if we’re in the area.

We’ve been twice now, and each visit makes us more sure we’ll keep coming back. The house is spotless, heated, and has everything you might need. The owners are lovely and always there to help. Such a peaceful place surrounded by nature. We love it!
