Camelot

We'd booked a spot for our van months ahead, but when we got to this nightclub-turned-campsite for Viña Rock, the main entrance couldn't handle large vehicles. They opened a different gate so we could get in. We arrived early and were placed at the end of a street; as more campers pitched tents, the lack of organization became pretty clear. The bathrooms were VERY DIRTY from day one. The showers did have hot water, though it came and went, and the bar was fine for a quick stop. The festival grounds are around a 10-minute walk away, but the entrance is farther off. We'd come back for the security: it's watched around the clock, and nobody pees on your van or tent 😅😅.

The one upside was being near the festival, with somewhere to leave the car. Everything else was awful. It rained and the camping beds got wet, and nobody offered any help. The toilets were so filthy that we had to call the police, and there wasn't hot water in the showers.

The owners were really kind. They even cooked us paella after the cafeteria had shut, and let us stay as long as we liked on our last day. When we were running late, their daughter gave us a lift to the train station, which was so thoughtful. The place also made our Viña Rock stay much easier: there was a breakfast cafeteria, drinking water from a tap, phone charging spots, and tents with mattresses. The toilets always had paper, and the showers had hot water, although they could use some improvement. I'd definitely stay again.

The drinks were badly made and really low quality. It's a lovely-looking place, nicely decorated, well located, and has parking, but it seems aimed at people who don't expect much from the food or drinks.
