Apartamento Campomanes

We could walk everywhere from this centrally located apartment, which made it a great base for exploring Villaviciosa with two children. It had everything we needed for a short stay. Highly recommended.

Well, this is the shabbiest and dirtiest place we've seen in years. I had my small dog with me, and the person there started yelling that it had peed, which wasn't true. My dog is trained, as many people know, and trained dogs don't relieve themselves in someone else's home, even when it's not their home. They obey absolutely everything. I was insulted and threatened. When I get home, I'll speak to my lawyer about the threats. As for the accommodation, the main bedroom has three beds plus another pullout bed. The beds are uncomfortable and there was hardly any bedding. The single bed had only a top sheet, no fitted sheet, and its mattress had cough stains on it. The beds are uncomfortable. We didn't use the sofa. We arrived, dropped off our things, and went to visit Madrid, taking my dog along. The air conditioning kept switching off after we turned it on when we arrived. My husband installs air conditioning, and he says both the living room and bedroom units are broken. There was a lot of noise, mostly from the neighbors rather than the street. The man who checked us in didn't explain anything, so we had to figure it all out ourselves. It was a bad experience, especially since we only slept there. We got up early and left. We left everything tidy and took the little rubbish we had thrown away with us. They clean under the beds and the bathroom, but the shower was filthy and we had to clean it ourselves before we could use it. I don't recommend the place at all, especially with people who threaten you. I nearly forgot, some gift bags were missing, and the owners must have come in while we were out. We travel to Madrid often for work and know we'll never stay there again. Bad people.

The host provided excellent service, and the apartment was magnificent in one of Villaviciosa's best areas. Restaurants, shops, the market, and town hall are all close by. Parking takes a little patience, but after a quick drive around, we found a space easily. Highly recommended.
