We woke to birdsong, which you don’t get to enjoy often these days. Loli gave us a warm welcome at check-in and shared a map and a list of things to do nearby, which came in handy. The path through nature to Rodiles Beach was lovely for a walk, and Villaviciosa, just a 10-minute drive away, was a beautiful place to explore. We stayed Wednesday through Saturday during Holy Week with our dogs, and it was a relief that they were welcome. Cockerina even got to play a few times with the dog in the neighboring apartment, which made the visit extra special. We’d come back for a relaxing stay with our partner or pets and more time in Asturian nature.

Dolores was impeccable in the way she looked after guests. The hotel is very close to one of Asturias's best beaches, and since this wasn't our first stay, it won't be our last.

Rodiles beach and the Villanueva estuary are only a few minutes away by car, and the apartments are equipped very well. Still, after the second cleaning, there was a strong dog smell, although we hadn't brought pets. I reported it the next day, and they cleaned the apartment again. They also burn stubble in the surrounding plots. During my stay that happened at night, and the smoke smell was so strong we had to shut all the windows and the bedroom door. We couldn't leave our towels outside to dry, or they'd take on the smoke smell.

We stayed three nights in a two-bedroom apartment, a good-sized, functional place for three people. Its location is perfect for visiting the beautiful area. The furniture in our unit was quite worn and could do with replacing: the kitchen table was badly damaged, the sofa was very uncomfortable and not very clean, and the mattresses and shower screen could be much better. The rest was fine.
