The village is quiet, and getting to Burgos takes a bit of planning: a taxi costs 19 euro, while buses are infrequent, with the last one into Vivar del cid around 6 or 7pm. We had a comfortable bed and good amenities. Our two hosts were fabulous, warm and friendly, and went out of their way several times to sort out transport for us, even during a very busy period. For July, with peak demand from the Dance World Cup competitions in Burgos, the price was reasonable.

Good value, with a really comfortable bed and a clean, well-equipped bathroom. The hosts handled things well during the total blackout in Spain, and were really friendly.

The little village setting was charming, and I’d happily return. Laura was lovely, friendly and welcoming, and there’s a kitchen available if you want to use it. I stayed one night while travelling north, and found the hotel stunning, with quality and comfort throughout. The continental breakfast was good and cost 5 Euros. I’d recommend it.

The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, and the host was really warm and friendly. It’s a stunning little property, and I’m glad we stopped by at the last minute. Recommended!
