The owner was pleasant, but the house was in rough shape for what we paid. It wasn’t clean inside or out: the stove was greasy, the sheets didn’t feel very clean, the ironing board was full of lint, and the pillow on the large bed covered only half of it. The iron leaked when I plugged it in, and the power went out. We also had to ask for bottled water because the tap water wasn’t drinkable. Payment was cash only. Overall, it all felt pretty shabby.

Set among vineyards, the house felt peaceful and came with lovely views. We especially enjoyed the pool and patio barbecue, and there was room to sunbathe outside in spring and autumn. Inside, the design is lovely, the bedrooms are spacious, and the kitchen has everything you need. The company’s service was excellent, and the attentive owner dealt with any issues quickly. A great place for a family or friends’ holiday, and I’d gladly recommend a few days here.

We won’t be coming back. The house has a good layout, but the upkeep was awful: the fridge didn’t work in the middle of summer, there’s no air conditioning (fans made the heat bearable), the gardens were dry, and there was dirt and cobwebs around the windows and corners. The pool and inner patio needed cleaning, the fountain was dry and looked like a dump, and there’s no shade for cars despite all the space. The barbecue grills were disgusting, with old junk around them, and I wouldn’t put meat on them. There were no bowls for soup or broth, and only eight plates. We urgently asked for a pot for the eight of us and didn’t have one. The owner was attentive about registering us, but when it came to collecting payment, he didn’t show up in person. After we kept asking for basics, he did surprise us by bringing brand-new plates, cutlery, and other kitchen items for both kitchens. I appreciated that, and he deserves credit for following through, but these things should have been there already. The fridge still couldn’t be repaired, and no technician came. This is about €100 worth of kitchenware, and the next guests shouldn’t have to deal with the same gaps. We’ll make the best of our week with the family, but we won’t return. The place wasn’t worth the price, and we won’t be back or recommend it. I had to wash the sheets and buy new barbecue grills, while the backyard was badly neglected. The owner rushed through the explanation. They do supply firewood, but getting to it meant going through bushes full of bugs. The pool lighting was terrible.
