The room was clean and quiet, and it had AC. The women at reception were helpful and nice the night before. Breakfast was disappointing, though, with a mealy croissant and awful country music playing. I’d been ready to give the place four stars until the breakfast mix-up. The evening before, I paid 55 instead of 45 because I thought the hotel would do better if I booked directly rather than through the booking company. They told me breakfast would be available for 5 euros. In the morning I let reception know I was going to my car to drop some things off and would return to eat. The coffee machine wasn’t working, so I asked at the next-door bar if they could make me a coffee. They repaired the machine instead. Then a cook or bar worker asked for my room number, went away, and came back saying breakfast wasn’t included. I explained I hadn’t reserved it and expected to pay the agreed 5 euros. They checked with reception but didn’t come back to say I could start eating, so I had to go over and argue it all again. It felt distrustful and arrogant, and that’s why I took stars off. If a bar worker doesn’t spoil your morning, it’s a passable place.

The rooms are really good, and the air-conditioning works very well. There’s free parking on site in a parking garage. The staff were so friendly and helpful.

The room had a bad, disgusting smell at around 4 am. I thought it might be from breakfast being prepared, but breakfast didn’t explain it, and I couldn’t work out where the smell came from. I also wouldn’t choose this hotel again because of the staff’s behavior. The restaurant has an English menu, but they insist on not sharing it. When there was a misunderstanding, the male waiter got extremely angry. The only kind people were the woman serving in the restaurant and the woman working at reception. The others weren’t worth dealing with.

Junkos was very quiet, which made it a calm place to stay. The room was clean, the price was good, and the location was okay. Staff were helpful despite the language barrier. There’s no laundry, and dinner has to be chosen in the morning.
