Hotel Las Eras

It wasn't bad.

José Maria emailed me right away to confirm that my specific requests for a late arrival would be taken care of. The room was spotless, with no smells at all, and there’s a key dispenser outside for guests arriving late. The hotel was superb and the staff were attentive. We’ll be back. Thanks so much, I recommend it 100,000%!

The hotel itself is fine, but arriving to find check-in is through a machine feels really cold. It also means they lose one workstation. I’d suggest providing better blankets, since these are too thin for people like me who prefer sleeping without air conditioning.

We were only there for one night, so the slightly uncomfortable spring mattresses and feeling cold during the night weren't too bad. The hotel was clean and well located, and honestly it wasn't bad overall. What I didn't like was having no receptionist in a three-star hotel. It felt like a ghost hotel. The man in the cafeteria was rather rude and curt when I asked for lactose-free milk, which is very common these days, and whole-wheat bread. They had neither, so I went elsewhere for breakfast. I don't understand how someone can say they're working from home when check-in is being handled by a machine.
