We’d have stayed longer if we could. After a long drive through the rain, we were welcomed warmly and shown to a beautiful room that was already warm and comfortable. The sitting room had lots of interesting artifacts and photos, and there were even coffee-making facilities, which was unusual for Spain. Our hosts served us a meal typical of the region that evening, then a huge breakfast the next morning. This was the best stay of our holiday, and I hope we can come back one day.

The ham was good and the portion was normal, but most of the other dishes felt very small. We ordered anchovies to share and got only four salted strips; the croquettes were also just four for two people. We each got a piece of cod, but those portions were small too. At 120 euros, the price seemed out of proportion to how little food we were served.

The food was spectacular, and the service was excellent. We stayed two nights and found our room clean, quiet, and very comfortable. The air conditioning was especially welcome during the unusual heat wave. There’s a capsule coffee machine and a kettle in the lounge, with tea infusions, coffee capsules, and mini muffins available whenever we wanted a drink before heading to our room. We also had breakfast in the restaurant one day: eggs with ham, fresh orange juice, and a delicious café con leche. Well worth staying here.

A great hotel for switching off. The staff were really attentive and totally professional. Definitely recommend giving it a visit and seeing for yourself. I’ll be back without a doubt.
