Apartamento El Balcón de las Armas

The flat was clean and had everything we needed for a short trip to Zaragoza. We did feel a little unsafe in the apartment.

The location made us feel unsafe all the time. We booked because the accommodation had a positive overall rating, but there were several other serious problems. The bathroom doesn't work properly, and reviews suggest this is a recurring issue that hasn't been fixed. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, and we could hear the neighbor shouting late at night after 10 pm and very early in the morning. Picking up the keys, no one explained that we had to walk up the parking ramp. With small children and lots of luggage, that was a real hassle. The trash bins are outside the building, but there's no information about where they are or when they'll be collected.

We left before our stay was over, the first time we've ever done that at a hotel or apartment. We were traveling with our ten-month-old baby, and you could hear everything at night. Right from the start, we felt unsafe and uncomfortable. The area isn't good at all. It's central, but we just didn't feel at ease and won't be back.

We had to leave early because the neighborhood made us afraid to come back later that night, so we couldn't enjoy the night we'd planned to spend there. The street and the building stairwell smelled awful, and neighbors leave their trash out on the street. I don't recommend this apartment and we won't return. I booked through the hotel's website, where the photos made the place look modern and well located. The building is old and seems to have had only a facelift. The sink and toilet kept clogging, and there were no kitchen utensils for cooking. For parking, they gave us a number even though the street spaces weren't numbered, so we had to try the keys in different spots. The neighborhood was described as one of the most dangerous in Zaragoza.
