Hotel Delicias

The room came with towels and a few toiletries, and there’s reception around the clock. It’s about a 30-minute walk to the city centre and roughly 20 minutes to the bus and train station. They use keys for the rooms. Thanks!

The staff were friendly and even held our luggage until late. Check-in is at 15:00 and checkout at 11:30. The room was basic but clean, with air con and the main things you need for a short stay. It’s an old hotel and the halls smell bad, though it’s cheap and close to the railway station, so the room was okay for the price.

There was noise from the pub across the street, and it made sleeping difficult. I also found hairs on the pillowcase and sheets, plus someone else’s rubbish still in the bathroom bin. That felt especially bothersome given the current health situation and not knowing who had been in the room before me. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The location was alright, and the room was quite cosy, but the door was a serious problem. It had no lock on the inside, so I wedged a chair against it overnight, and the outside lock didn’t work properly either. Even the housekeeper couldn’t lock it, and left the room open after cleaning with all my things inside. Breakfast wasn’t fresh, the cold cuts smelled, and the white tablecloths were stained and covered in crumbs.
