We only had one night in a triple room, and wished we could have stayed longer. The rooms were airy, modern, smart, and quiet, with very effective electric blinds. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms decent, and there was coffee and a TV. Everything was super clean. The location made it easy to get into town and to the beach. What really stood out, though, was how welcoming and friendly the service was. Esti spent ages suggesting restaurants and booking them for us, and Pablo let us leave our luggage for the afternoon while we went to the beach. Couldn't have asked for a better stay. We loved Zarautz and want to come back, and we'll return to Hotel Zerupe if we can.

The room looked beautiful and had a huge skylight that brought in plenty of daylight, though it had no windows. That was the only downside. This is a charming hotel with very friendly, helpful staff. I wish I remembered the front desk lady's name, because she was a real jewel and helped us a lot with storing and charging our electric bikes and sorting out parking. We'd definitely stay again when we're in the area.

I was sick as a dog in San Sebastián and couldn't travel, but Hotel ZERUPE refused to cancel my booking because I gave only 24 hours' notice instead of 48. That's all I can say about the service, or lack of it. Thumbs down.

Hotel Zerupe is well placed for exploring Zarautz, just 20 meters from the old city center and 200 meters from the sea. Pablo was a very knowledgeable host and shared lots of tips for tapas bars, sightseeing, and day trips. The valet parking service was great too. We'd also point out the bar across the street: terrific tapas and raciones, mellow atmosphere, and great service.

We booked at the last minute, as usual, and got a warm welcome. The staff were so, so kind and flexible, and gave us great suggestions for where to eat and what to see. The rooms were clean and cosy, and the location was great. Go!
