We had a restful night's sleep thanks to the comfortable memory foam mattress and pillows, and the air conditioning kept the room cool. The hotel was immaculately clean, with a lovely Dalit turning bed, and the elevator came in handy with our heavy bags. Breakfast was complimentary, fresh, and delicious. In the morning we could hear the Koo Koo owl singing, with church bells in the distance. The hotel sits in the heart of La Riola, with easy access to nearby wineries. The family running the place were kind and authentic, and treated us like their own. We also got to see their winery operations, and with some luck you might catch the wine-making firsthand. It’s also a beautiful wedding venue, and we happened to see a stunning wedding as we checked out. We have great respect for this family and their hospitality, and can’t wait to return.

The food was excellent, and the owners made us feel very welcome. It's in a small, quiet village. The old building was once a castle, and its large rustic bedrooms have a modern touch. I'd definitely recommend it.

The rooms were quiet and extremely comfortable, and the owner was very friendly. It’s a lovely little hotel with original charm and features. The food was good, and the waiter was as helpful as he could be. Staffing difficulties meant dinner wasn’t served until 9 pm, and the bar wasn’t open before dinner.

The owner and his dad spent 11 years restoring the old palace, and hope to expand from 5 to 12 rooms over time. We had a great stay, with a comfy bed, a powerful rain shower and body jets, and a superb breakfast where you can have eggs your way. Parking is inside the gates. Their attention to detail was so good that I can’t recommend the place highly enough.

We stopped for one night with my family on the way to Madrid, and it turned out to be a great choice. They made us feel very welcome. The place is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable, and both dinner and breakfast were fantastic. The service was great too.
