The bathroom is just a toilet tucked into the stairwell, and there isn't a hydromassage shower anywhere. The ground-floor room with a view measures only 2.5 by 3.5 meters. Its bunk bed is really uncomfortable, with an iron-tube frame welded to the side rails and spring mattresses that dig into you.

I came away feeling cheated, and I wouldn't recommend this accommodation. We booked directly well in advance. With 14 days left, something came up, so I called to cancel. They said that was fine and asked me to send the cancellation by WhatsApp. Once I did, they sent over a cancellation policy they'd never shared before. I chose not to cancel because I didn't want them to lose money, but then they told me the booking had already been canceled. They said I would lose part of the reservation since they had other commitments. I called to ask them to reinstate it, but they wouldn't answer and only pointed back to my cancellation message. I think this was abusive. They took our booking without telling us the policy, then, knowing we intended to book, canceled and rented it again. It feels like a racket to me. I think they're crooks.

The friendly owners and their hospitality made this a place I'd recommend. I spent a few days here for work and really enjoyed the stay. I got to see the walled castle of Granadilla, the Grabiel y Galán reservoir, and the Roman city of Caparra. Plasencia and Béjar are also close by. The accommodation lived up to all my expectations. Thank you very much, I'm grateful.

Victoria was helpful and attentive throughout. The house was very clean, and the COVID-19 disinfection measures were well managed. Out back there's a roomy, comfortable garden with a barbecue and wood-fired oven, plus private parking. It's a fantastic base for exploring the area. Thanks for everything, Victoria!!!
