The lobby smelled really fresh, at least. I went to Heyday hotel for breakfast expecting better, but the service was mediocre. I ordered chechebsa and wasn't given a spoon or napkins. When I got my laptop out, they told me I had to use it on the terrace, which was fair, but it was scorching under the iron sheets with no fan or cooling. The tables and chairs were awkwardly high or low, so I had to bend over to finish eating. It was my first visit and I expected more.

The homemade food was delicious, especially the tomato soup, which was superb. I stayed for 10 nights and had a great time. The team kept the whole hotel immaculate, and the staff were welcoming and extremely friendly. As an English traveller, I thought it was exceptional value. I'll stay here again when I return, and I recommend it.

The people here made this stay for us. During nearly two months at the hotel, the staff helped us with all kinds of things beyond their jobs, from directions to finding something at a store in an emergency. We felt looked after like family, and they shared their culture with us while staying friendly and professional. The deputy manager took particular care of us in a way we hadn't expected. That's why we'd tell people to book here. We never even considered moving.

The room service was great, and the waitress took real care to serve my meal just the way I like it, very hot. She waited for me to prepare my plate, then heated the food to my preferred temperature. The staff at Heyday Hotel were wonderful throughout, checking in often and ready to help with anything that would make me more comfortable. I had a lovely stay and am already looking forward to coming back.

The macchiato is worth ordering, it makes for a bright start to the day. The staff are always smiling and do their best to serve you. I'll definitely return to this lovely hotel, and would recommend it too.
