Wib Guesthouse

I really enjoyed staying at Wib Guesthouse. It’s clean, comfortable, and feels safe, including the Sholla area. The staff are lovely and offer free tea, coffee, and breakfast. Hailie at reception was especially helpful with recommendations and advice about Addis Ababa.

The neighborhood felt welcoming and safe, and Haile gave me useful advice about where to go, which local restaurants were good and affordable, and what daily life is like for people there. Our conversations also taught me a lot about Ethiopia’s history and economic situation. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and Haile and the two young men working with him were warm and attentive. They even helped with things outside normal hotel services. Their hospitality made the stay a really meaningful experience. I’d strongly recommend it.

The rooms are decent, with a desk and a nice en-suite bathroom that has hot water. Airport pickup and drop-off made everything go smoothly. The host was the most professional we’d had during our two weeks in Ethiopia.

It’s a guesthouse, so don’t expect luxury, but the bed and bathroom are good, everything is clean, the price is good, and the service is amazing. Haile, the owner, is honest, speaks good English, knows a lot, and will help with anything you need. The workers are very nice too, and you can get free tea or coffee anytime. Without a doubt, this is the place to stay in Addis Ababa.
