The rooms are old and need renovation, especially the bathrooms and power outlets. Several people in my group had problems with outlets and sinks. Still, every room has a terrace, the rooftop terrace was a nice place for some meals, and the internet was good. The location in Lalibela is very convenient. Staff were excellent, and all the food we had here was delicious. Breakfast was simple but more than enough, and I loved the made to order eggs and omelettes. Our group enjoyed several lunches and dinners here too.

The peaceful, welcoming atmosphere made it easy to unwind after visiting the historic rock-hewn churches. We had a comfortable, clean, well-kept room with all the amenities we needed. The mountain scenery is breathtaking, especially at sunrise and sunset, and the staff were attentive, friendly and ready to help with transport or local travel tips. I spent two nights at Mountain View Hotel in Lalibela, and from the warm welcome onward, it was a wonderful stay. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would happily stay again. Highly recommend it for comfort, good service and quality throughout.

We came to Mountain View twice, once for dinner and again early in the morning for coffee and breakfast. The food was nice and the staff very friendly. The name fits: the deck gives you a beautiful 360-degree view of the surrounding mountains. I didn't stay overnight, so I can't comment on the rooms, but I'd recommend stopping by if you're visiting Lalibela.

The balcony was spacious and had a great view, and the room was comfortable despite being a little run down. We had to ask for toilet paper, and the shower swung between too hot and too cold. The building itself is beautiful, the view is gorgeous, and all the staff were really nice. Wi-Fi didn't work at all while we were there, which was rough since we relied on it to contact guides and others.
