We were lucky enough to see the Aurora on four of our seven nights. There’s even a switch to turn off the outdoor lights and make the sky easier to see. Such a thoughtful touch. One evening, after dinner at the nearby Kelo Resort hotel, we walked home with the Aurora moving overhead. A moment we won’t forget. The hosts made everything easy from the start, with help booking, recommendations, and clear instructions. The property was spotless and very well equipped, with snowshoes and bikes available for exploring. We also rented cross-country skis, and the ski track was just 10 metres from the house. There are lovely forest walks right from the property too. Both saunas were great. The wood-fired one was especially memorable, relaxing there while looking out over the snowy forest and lake. We spent a week here and had an incredible stay. We’d love to come back someday.

The owner took us ice fishing on the lake, and his wife filleted the fish for us. A lovely thing to do. The house is spacious, with four comfortable bedrooms and two saunas. It’s peaceful, has beautiful views, and is fully equipped, just as described. You can use the gear in the storage room too, including bikes, cross-country skis, sleds, and snowshoes. A magnificent place to stay, highly recommended!

Really nice setting, and the outdoor sauna is a plus. There are fat bikes available to rent as well. If you’re after luxury and modern comforts on vacation, this is a truly luxurious villa. I warmly recommend it.
