A reasonably priced place for a city break, especially given the area’s usual prices. It’s near the small swimming beach at Siikajärvi lake and a sauna, and close to Helsinki, right by the Espoo border. MobilePay is accepted.

My first holiday in Finland was just what my family and I needed, so calm and relaxing. The kids had an interesting program planned, made friends quickly, and were always busy. The food was the star, different and tasty every day. I’ll remember this trip and hope to come back. Thank you!

A lovely, peaceful place to unwind. Breakfast is included in the accommodation price, and it’s good.

The reception staff were cheerful and helpful, especially the younger boy who always greeted me with a big smile. You can rent swimming wear and ping-pong rackets there. If nobody’s at the desk, press the button and someone will come shortly. The hotel is about 2 km from bus 244. There’s a lake, hiking trails, a grill, and outdoor seating nearby, and it’s easy to pick mushrooms. The surroundings are quiet and tranquil. There’s a good basement gym with a ping-pong table. The room was basic and old, with no kettle. The bed and pillow were really soft, and the blanket thin. The air conditioner worked oddly, but was okay. A notice on the WC door says to keep it closed while showering so the humidity doesn’t trigger the fire alarm. Corridors are convenient, with lots of public WCs along the way and reading or chill-out corners with garden views. The sauna was okay, and the shower gel and shampoo were Rituals. The jacuzzi needs maintenance, only one spring works! Food was quite basic Finnish fare, with pale coffee and juice from a dispenser, though there was a good choice of teas. The bar closes at 21:00?!?!?! It’s an okay hotel. I’d be happy to return if the price dropped below 100€.
