Hotelli Maakunta

The breakfast at Antin Konditorio is really good, and the staff are nice. Great deal!

It’s a hotel with a nostalgic, romantic feel.

You can freely use the hotel’s fully equipped kitchen, which is a real plus, but our stay had some serious problems. It didn’t feel much like a boutique hotel to me. Things were just old and smelly. There was a lingering smell of people smoking indoors for years, and in parts of the hallway the mold smell was even stronger. The bed kept dripping the whole time. In the middle of the night, the electronic door lock stopped working. At first it seemed like the battery was dying, then the lights started flickering and the code wouldn’t work. The emergency number made such a racket at night that the phone had been switched off for the night. Two groups of us were staying there, and we were furious when we couldn’t get into the hotel.

The place is unusual and interesting, and it was clean and pretty throughout. Tatjana's room had a lovely atmosphere. The art room could use a few more sockets.
