Regatta Spa Hotel

We celebrated a birthday with a one-night stay and had a great experience. The hotel upgraded us to a room overlooking the park and was very accommodating. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious. Our Winter Special included spa access, which made the stay even better. Just be aware the spa is a couple hundred meters' walk from the hotel, so the weather could make that inconvenient.

Being right by the sea is a big part of what makes this the best hotel in Hanko/Hangö. The rooms and staff are superb, and breakfast is very good. Dinner at the restaurant also holds a high standard. Some rooms have their own sauna, and guests can get access to the local spa, with its large indoor pool, saunas, small gym, and spa facilities.

The spa was calm and comfortably warm, and we could have stayed there all day. January was a lovely time to visit, even with quite a few guests around. Our Superior Kitchenette room felt magnificent, with its high ceilings, four big windows, and lots of space. Daylight poured in, though the artificial lighting was dim. The kitchen had only a fridge and microwave. It was clean, but there were little flakes in the bed that looked like salt. At the restaurant we were first told there was no room, despite several free tables. We asked them to check once more and were seated. Aside from that small mix-up, the staff were very attentive.

That was the best four-course dinner we've ever had in Hanko. The food and wine together were spectacular. Thanks to the whole team.
