The room was basic but warm, and the lodge itself is pretty low-profile. The hot showers outside the rooms were a definite plus. The kitchen is small, and when I arrived it wasn’t very clean and smelled of cigarette smoke, even though smoking is strictly prohibited.

The morning view was great, and the beds were comfortable. It was easy to find on foot from Hakaniemi station, and the instructions were clear. The room was fine, but the old fridge was pretty useless and the showers could use some repairs. The toilets were clean during my stay. It was OK for one night.

Someone kept knocking on my door at 3AM and trying a code to get into the room, so I couldn’t sleep. There were also homeless drunks outside the building trying to get in. The rooms are small, warm, and have minimal comfort, and the fridge in the room is loud. Stay away from this place!

For the price, it’s okay and has what you need, with a supermarket nearby. The rooms are small and the kitchen is dirty. There are only two toilets and showers per sex.

It’s close to both the metro and seaport, and the price and location are the hostel’s main advantages. In my single room, the left window was broken, so I couldn’t open it. The rooms are very close together, and you can hear other guests.
