Senate Hotel

The trams stop right in front of the hotel, which made getting around very convenient. Check-in and checkout were both easy and smooth. The room was warm, cozy, clean and a decent size. I'd never stayed somewhere with a shared shower before, but honestly I couldn't tell the difference. It was spacious and very clean, and I never had to wait. The washroom was the same, and both had toilet paper and tissues. All the guests were quiet, so I slept really well here, some of the best sleep of my trip. Highly recommend!

The location is the main plus, and the price was pretty good compared with nearby places. It's fine for one night or up to two, and I booked it for a transit stay. The rooms are ugly, with old-fashioned, mismatched equipment. In my opinion, this belongs in the hostel category, not as a hotel. There's a shared kitchen, one shower and one toilet for 10 rooms. The rooms are on the fifth floor of a tenement house with an ancient elevator.

For the price, this is a good choice if you're traveling on a budget and care more about location and cost than amenities. The employees were very nice, and the location was great. There was only one shower and two WCs for maybe 6-10 rooms. The hotel is on the fifth floor of an old building, and the rooms show their age. Honestly, don't expect the Ritz-Carlton, or even a Hilton, at this price.

We regretted booking this place. The very friendly worker at check-in and the location were positives, but the rooms need major renovation. There was no private bathroom or WC, with just one toilet and one shower for at least 10 rooms. This is a hostel, not a hotel.
