Solo Sokos Hotel Helsinki

The staff were kind and very helpful, and breakfast was wonderful and included. Our room was roomy and quiet, even though it was just down from the lifts. We only wanted a shower, no bath, and that was no problem. The hotel was fantastic, and the website photos matched what we found. It was also well placed for the Christmas Market, trams, and buses. We had a great couple of days in Helsinki and met some lovely people. One taxi driver really stood out: after a mix-up with the hotel, he came back to pick us up, then gave us a free ride to the airport when we left. Everyone we met in Helsinki was very nice.

It's easy to walk from here to the city center, shops, senate square, and the harbor. The hotel itself was fantastic, with a great room and comfortable beds. Breakfast was one of the best I've seen at a hotel, with amazing, delicious food. We also really liked the pizza when we returned to the restaurant in the evening. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. 10/10, definitely recommend!

Most of Helsinki's sights are less than a 15-minute walk from the hotel. The room was spacious, and breakfast was included with a huge range of choices for different dietary needs. It's about a 10-minute walk, roughly 500m with luggage, from Helsinki Central railway station, where the P line runs to and from the airport.

Breakfast was very good, with plenty of fresh things to choose from, and we enjoyed our stay overall. The location was excellent, about five minutes on foot from Senate Square and close to malls, cafés, and restaurants. We got there at 10:00 a.m., but our room wasn't due to be ready until 4:00 p.m. Staff offered us a larger room for 30 euro so we could get in straight away. We agreed, but it was exactly the same as the room we'd booked. It was basically early access, which we hadn't asked for, and that was the one disappointing part. Even so, it's a great hotel and we'd still recommend it.
