Töölö Towers

A practical, simple Finnish hotel with a calm, minimalist look. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and there were cabinets and surfaces for all my things. Staff were friendly, and the tasty local breakfast made it a reliable, budget-friendly base for exploring the area.

The location was great, right by the tram into the city, and the bed was quite comfortable. The room was small and the heater didn’t work, though. The free breakfast was a nice touch.

Everything was good, and the staff were really nice. The flat had everything we needed, and the towers are within an easy walk of trams and buses, with the main center about 25-30 minutes away on foot. We would have appreciated having shower gel and tea in the room, but there weren’t any.

The complimentary breakfast had an impressive range: porridge, spreads and condiments, eggs, chicken meatballs, falafels, breads, cheese and cold meats, salad, hot drinks, biscuits, yogurt, cereal and different juices, including fresh orange juice. There was porridge too. The children’s play area in the breakfast room was lovely to see, and staff kept replenishing the food so the baskets never ran empty. The staff contacted me before arrival to check my ETA and welcomed me warmly when I got there. My room was spacious and nice, with a TV and even a bidet, and I felt very safe since you need a key to enter each floor. Each floor has a shared area and kitchen, and there’s also a sauna on the top floor. It’s clear the staff have thought carefully about their service. The building also has university accommodation, but you wouldn’t know it from how good the service was. One of the best hotel stays I’ve had. I’ve stayed in many hotels, and you don’t get this level of customer service in most. Please ignore the negative reviews.
