Waldorf Astoria Helsinki

The breakfast was a lovely start to each day, with fresh food and an elegant feel. We also had a rooftop suite with a private sauna, a luxurious bathroom, and a wonderfully comfortable bed. We'd booked a standard room, but as Hilton Diamond members we were generously upgraded. What made the stay especially memorable was the team's genuine care. My spouse and I felt welcome from the moment we arrived, and the staff paid attention to every detail. Special thanks to hotel manager Gali, whose dedication made us want to come back and recommend the hotel to friends and anyone looking for luxury in Helsinki. We can't thank the team enough for making our visit so special.

We spent two nights here for our 23rd wedding anniversary, and the upgrade to the Attic Suite with a spa at check-in made the occasion extra special. The restaurant, bar, breakfast, and spa facilities were all excellent, and we had a great stay throughout. A special thank you to Fisu and Cynthia, especially Fisu. He took time to explain which spa facilities might help with my partner's leg pain while recovering from leg cancer. His knowledge and kindness meant a lot to us. Thanks to the whole team for such a memorable visit. We'd happily recommend the hotel and will definitely return.

The rooms are nicely equipped, and the spa is pleasant, though rather small. Service was generally good, but breakfast was a letdown. There was no cutlery available, and we waited ten minutes for coffee. The waitress also mixed up who had ordered what. Worst of all, the breakfast room was so cold that people kept their outdoor jackets on. That's really uncomfortable and not what I'd expect at a five-star Waldorf Astoria.

We had the spa almost entirely to ourselves that evening, and it was a lovely way to unwind. There was a pool with underwater music, a jacuzzi, a cold plunge, sauna, steam room, and a relaxation lounge where fresh fruit was served afterward. The service was incredible, and we felt thoroughly pampered. We'd stayed for two nights and left early for the airport, only to learn our flight was delayed until evening. When we returned, the front desk kindly refreshed our room so we could stay until late. The staff made all the difference. I'd highly recommend it.
