There was plenty for the kids, with a playground outside and a nice space indoors too. The house itself is beautiful and so well looked after. It was quiet, and I didn’t find myself wanting for anything. I’d book it again without hesitation.

The parking lot can turn into a bit of a swimming pool, which isn’t much fun when it does. Still, we had a really nice stay. The reception was welcoming and the room felt cozy. Showers are shared, but otherwise everything was perfect.

The rooms were beautiful and clean, and the setting felt really idyllic. At €135 for the Villa Deluxe room, though, I’d hoped for a more substantial breakfast and maybe a little fridge in the room.

The place itself is really idyllic, and the service would have been fine if the invoicing had worked. I travel for business, and nearly a month after my stay I still had nothing to report my expenses with, despite reminding them several times. No invoice, no receipt, nothing. I’d strongly advise against staying here if you need to claim expenses.

We had a lovely week and the food was nice. I spent five days at Villa Kaupilla as part of a Finnish-German exchange project, and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly too. It was a nice trip to Finland!
