We really liked the lake and forest view from the room, and being able to walk along the terrace by the water. It’s also handy for the ski resort, with a gas station nearby for breakfast, and parking right outside. We appreciated that dogs are welcome. The room had a kettle, fridge, and microwave, and the price was affordable despite the slightly dated furniture. A few things made the stay less comfortable. We had to drive an extra 15 minutes to the ski resort to collect the keys. The room’s trash bins hadn’t been emptied, which left us wondering if the bed linen had been changed and the room fully cleaned, though everything else seemed fine. Snowplows on the nearby highway were loud at night when it snowed, and the cabins are only about 100 meters from the road. Still, it’s good value in a lovely setting.

The location works well, close to himos and beside a petrol station with a restaurant, and there’s enough parking. For just a few hours overnight, it’s fine. I wouldn’t recommend it for a longer trip. The room should have been cleaner. We found several hairs, and the bathroom door was dirty, probably from cooking since the kitchenette is right beside it. The bathroom was old, and there was no shower curtain.

It’s affordable and right by the lake near Himos center, though the room took over three hours to warm up because the heater was off when I arrived. The balcony would have been fantastic if the snow had been cleared. I imagine the place is much better in summer.

I didn’t go inside. I stopped at the filling station and took the chance to photograph the surroundings, including Motel Patalahti.

Quite a nice place, but I missed having proper kitchen utensils. There’s only a microwave, kettle, and a few paper cups, so we bought disposable plates and knives from that TB. At least we can now heat up dinner on a plate. The ventilation was a bit poor. We left the terrace door open to air the room out 👍
