There’s plenty to do here, from a riverside walk on "Koskireitti" to billiards, the sauna, yoga, and a bit of shopping. The setting is wonderful, and the rooms feel beautiful and one of a kind. Even breakfast has been thought through down to the details.

The staff made a real effort for us during our stay, and communication was excellent. Our room was pretty and clean, and we didn’t have any noise issues. Breakfast was a great buffet. I hope I can come back soon.

Karkkila is lovely, with nice places to swim and walk, plus museums. Go before it gets too crowded! I loved staying in the Red house, and it was lucky I’d booked it because painting at the Bremer house started at 7 in the morning. Guests should be told when construction is going on. There are three different accommodation options, which is great. I had lunch at Tehtaan ravintola. It tasted nice, but felt a bit pricey at 14,90 for one oven baked potato, not much filling, and a very basic green salad. It’s such a peaceful, lovely place.
