I don't get why this lovely place is rated just 3 stars. The shared facilities didn't bother us at all: there are only 6 rooms, with 3 huge bathrooms and a separate wc. Our double room was spacious, warm, spotless, and felt luxurious. Breakfast was delicious, and the location was great. I'd recommend it without hesitation.

They took my feedback seriously. I said I was 99% satisfied and mentioned a few small things that could make it 100%. When we returned after the weekend, they'd already made those changes. Putiikkihotelli Kemi 1932 is a small family-run place at Kemi railway station, close to the tracks, but the thick timber walls keep the trains from bothering you. It was cozy, impeccably clean, and the service beat many 4-star hotels I've stayed in. Such a lovely little hotel in northern Finland.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and breakfast at the cafe was very good. The rooms are lovely and cozy too. I highly recommend this little gem in Kemi.
