The pub inside the hotel was a real plus, with nice music and a good spot for drinks or dinner, especially in winter when going out is harder. The location is hard to beat in Kemijärvi, right beside the bus station and across from a large supermarket, with everything easy to reach on foot. We stayed 3 nights in a spacious, clean family room with plenty of room to sit and relax. Staff were polite and friendly. Breakfast was decent for a 3-star hotel, and the bathroom amenities were basic. There was no room service during our stay, the door didn’t lock properly, and some areas could use renovation. Still, it’s very good value and I’d gladly return, preferably in a season with longer days.

The host was helpful and nice, and we enjoyed the whole dinner. The reindeer pizza with cloudy berry and the wild mushroom soup were especially good. Loved it.

The buffet is great for the price, and the à la carte menu had good reindeer dishes. Probably the best bar and restaurant around here. Only taking off a star for the limited beer selection.

We sat outside at this nice place and had very good dry cider. For dinner, the reindeer comes in different forms. The beef hamburger was really tasty, the kebab was okay and generous, with a good strong sauce, and the sautéed reindeer was excellent. The cloudberry panna cotta was delicious too, sweet but not too much.
