Hotel Ylläsrinne Deluxe

The dinners were a letdown, and the room cleaning was poor, so the hotel didn’t meet our expectations. We paid around €600 for five days of dinners, but the food quality didn’t match the price. Only two of the five meals were acceptable. On the last day, guests were served porridge and dry chicken. Our room was dusty and the surfaces hadn’t been cleaned properly. My allergy got worse, I developed a cough, and I had to continue medical treatment after getting home. That’s unacceptable for a hotel at this level. There was also an unpleasant incident over tea. Paper takeaway cups were available at the buffet, but when I tried to take tea with me, I was told off and asked to pay extra. We spent around €2,000 for five days, so that kind of petty restriction made an already disappointing stay feel worse.

We could see the Northern Lights from bed in one of the amazing new rooms. The whole team, from reception and service to events, were so friendly. Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were delicious. Thanks for a wonderful week in this new part of the hotel.

The kids had a great time playing in the snow, and there are a few restaurants nearby for dinner as well as a supermarket. You can drive 15 km to the nearest town for yllas swing. This extended hotel wing is new and in excellent condition, with a very good bed, automated roof and lighting controls, and a full set of dinnerware, cutlery, and cooking utensils, though we didn’t need to use them.

We were probably among the first visitors, and the manager and staff looked after us nicely. Our aurora room had great views, and we got to see the aurora lights, which was hard to beat 😁 The new section is stylish, comfortable, cozy, and practical. Breakfast at Hotel Yllasrinne next door is very good, just a one-minute walk away, and dinner is available there too at an excellent price for the quality. Highly recommend, and hope to come back.
