Aurantola

I came to Aurantola for three nights in the AuroraHut because I needed to clear my head and be around nature. It was exactly the kind of break I was looking for. Set apart from the other cottages, the glass igloo faces a beautiful lake, with ducks and woodpeckers as the only distractions. Watching the light and colors shift across the view made me think of Monet painting Rouen Cathedral. Inside, the space is clean and cozy, and every bit of it is put to good use. Just remember the showers are an eight-minute walk away, which seems part of the camping experience. Aurantola is a family-run place, and that comes through at check-in: cheerful children, a purring tricolor cat, and the kind Meliisa. She suggested activities that suited me, and I tried them all: rowing the free boat beside the hut, booking the sauna and cooling off in the lake, and visiting Repovesi National Park. Each one felt special. I rarely say this, but I’ll definitely come back.
