We paid about €140 per night for everyone, and it felt well worth it. The chalet was quiet and peaceful, surrounded by nature, with Kuopio not far away and the water perfect for a quick dip. We even had a barbecue at the little chalet. It looks small, but the Superior Chalet sleeps four. We loved having a sauna, and there were lots of useful things like a vacuum cleaner and an oven.

We had a lovely holiday. The cabin was clean and comfortable, and the larger cabins have a beautiful lake view. In summer, though, the early morning sunlight comes in, so they should add curtains to block it.

The cottage itself was clean and nice, warm at night, and fairly private. We enjoyed staying there. The rest of the experience had some problems. At reception, we thought the charge had already gone through on our card, but it hadn't. Their card reader wasn't working, so we had to pay cash. There was no hairdryer, so we had to dry our hair in a public area. A woman was sitting there naked, doing her thing, and told us to leave even though it was a public space. We found it unhygienic, so we called reception and asked someone to check and possibly clean. The receptionist was gone for about 30 seconds, then said she'd cleaned it. She hadn't; when we returned, the area was still dirty. The restaurant closed at 7 pm, but the kitchen shut at 6. When were we meant to eat, at 5?

We stayed in two older cabins, one for four people and one for two. The larger one had electricity, running water, a fridge, and a stove, but no bathroom or TV. The little two-person cabin felt like a step back in time, with just a roof and a bed for anyone without other needs. It did have electricity. There are newer cabins on the camping site too, though we didn't visit them. Plenty of campers were staying there, so it seems quite popular.

I stayed in a small cabin for two and got what I was after: a roof and a bed. The shared facilities were nice, though the shower room could use some shelves or tables. Staff were friendly and helpful, the location was pleasant, and there are lots of activities nearby. It also works well for pets.
