The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and it felt like a nice touch that one of them spoke French. We really felt at home. The restaurant was delicious, especially the very good breakfast buffet. I highly recommend the dinner buffet too, with lots of choices and local specialties like reindeer and fresh fish. Our room was spacious and had a very comfortable bed, a big TV, and all the essentials. The heated drying cabinet was a huge plus, so practical for drying clothes. The hotel has its own parking and is well located. We even caught a little bit of the Northern Lights from our bedroom window. I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this hotel.

It felt like staying with family. Each morning started with a lovely smile from the woman who put together a superb breakfast and made sure the day got off to a good start. The hospitality was warm, and the sauna and restaurant service were both really good.

The Lapland dinner is worth trying, especially the reindeer tongue, and the à la carte meal was great too. Everything tasted fresh. We also loved the sauna at a perfect 85°C. The hotel itself is lovely, with a beautifully decorated, cozy lounge, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. Our clean room had a great view of the nearby mountain, and breakfast was perfect. Thanks, Royal Ruka Hotel ❤️

The food was good, and the staff were pleasant, though they didn't always understand us when we spoke English. We'd booked a buffet when we visited the restaurant a few days ago, but there wasn't one. That wasn't a big deal for us. The place itself wasn't especially cozy.

The menu we had was excellent, with lovely meat and fish made from regional or national products. Wine and other alcoholic drinks are expensive.
