It’s a lovely, very new place right by the lake, and the store isn’t too far away.

The sauna looks out over an incredibly beautiful neighboring lake, and both bedrooms have a large skylight and their own bathroom. Those were big pluses for us. There’s also a lovely lean-to and pier by the shore, plus a rowing boat, and the apartment comes very thoroughly equipped with dishes, plenty of paper goods, detergents, and more. The one drawback was the small refrigerator. We found the compact layout very functional for four people, and the apartment is in a great spot. We’d gladly have stayed longer in Ruka.

The location is quiet and convenient. There’s room in the yard for sledges, easy access to the trail, and the ski tracks run right alongside.

A nice little villa, though the cold made it a bit less comfortable.

The cottage is beautiful and spotless. We had a lovely sauna and fireplace, and the bed was comfortable. The surroundings are beautiful too.
