We came here at random planning to stay one night, then ended up staying two. I've saved it as a personal POI now. It's a very nice place with friendly staff, and far enough from the highway. There's a shared kitchen. If you're in the six-room house, breakfast and sauna are available by additional order. The rowing boat and canoe are free to use.

The cottages are well equipped, with a wood sauna and a boat, and they're nicely secluded from one another. You can fish for free with the simple rods provided, or rent a spinning rod from the host for 15 euros. Jokiniemen gave us a very good, peaceful and authentic stay in Finland, though getting there was a little difficult because it's remote. There were lots of very aggressive mosquitoes too, but I think that's a common issue in Finland in June and July.

You'll need a car to reach this cottage resort, set in peaceful countryside. It has good modern conveniences, and we found it a lovely place to relax.
