Friendly service, with good food at an affordable price.

The room was clean, and I thought the price was affordable, especially since bed linen was included. Still, I wouldn’t choose a room here for the weekend. Room 3 in particular was noisy until 3 am, with karaoke and young people and their cars filling the parking lot below the window. I’d booked a room on 1/25, but they couldn’t find my name at first. The check-in problem was eventually sorted out.

We stopped at Rolls for a meal while passing through. The fries were awful, though at least my stomach was full. It was a really strange experience from the start: the hall was empty, but an employee just stared at us, and we were the ones who greeted first in an awkward silence. A second employee took our order, and that was confusing too. We waited about 20-25 minutes for fast food. The same unfriendly waiter brought it over without a word and slammed the trays down on both sides of the table, even though we were sitting next to each other. I wondered if he couldn’t speak or didn’t know Finnish, but then heard him talking to another customer, so that wasn’t it. Basic courtesy isn’t hard, even if you don’t like your job.

It’s easy to make breakfast in the shared kitchen, which has plenty of cutlery, plates and other utensils. We bought breakfast supplies the night before at the S-market next door. The rooms are well equipped, but there’s not much soundproofing: you can hear noise from upstairs and other rooms at night. I’d recommend earplugs.
