Breakfast was simple, with bread, juice, cereal, and coffee, sort of Finnish style. The sauna was a lovely surprise, just remember to book your time on the board. There's a bar downstairs, but our room wasn't directly above it, so noise wasn't an issue. If you understand it's a basic motel with shared showers and self-service, and don't expect anything fancy, it's a five out of five. Check prices directly with City Motel.

Getting in means going around to the back of the building. A supermarket is nearby, and it's a 500-meter walk to the train station and 2 km to the airport. There's a pub and pizza place out front. The stay was good value, very clean, and included a nice basic breakfast. 💯👌

We stayed for a weekend and had a great time. The kitchen was open in the evening, so we could have a couple of beers before heading to the club for some bands. We also walked around the area to find dinner and pick up a few things at nearby K-Markets. We slept without any issues. We arrived around 4 and left at 8 the next morning, so this budget place worked well for our one-night stop in Lappeenranta. We booked two twin rooms on the first floor. Usually, the keys are left at reception with a questionnaire, and the administration emails you the main entrance code. There was no shower or bath in the rooms, but we could use the sauna on a floor below, I think around -1. Thanks to the Citimotel staff.

Almost everything was good, but I don't like the locks on the freezer. If I wake up a bit later, I still need to eat, right? Time is relative: it's 8 a.m. in London when it's 10 a.m. in Tallinn or Athens. Everyone needs to eat.
