We enjoyed our return visit just as much as the first one. We came back in March for six nights near the end of winter, and even though the hotel was busier, the staff were friendly and helpful. The cheerful young team at the buffet restaurant even remembered us after two days, which was a sweet touch. Our September stay had already made a great impression: Tiia and Hanna at reception were warm and upbeat, the bistro waiters were funny but professional, and the chefs were very capable. Breakfast had plenty of variety, and we loved the spa. The buffet dinner started to feel a little repetitive after four nights, though the tomato soup and trout were delicious. We also caught sight of the aurora from our balcony on several nights. Thanks to everyone. I’ll definitely be back!

We loved staying in the log cabin and had a wonderful time. Breakfast was very good, and we’d happily stay in one of the cabins again. A few things would have made it even better: fire-starting supplies and tools for the fireplace, better toiletries, and complimentary access to the pool or spa.

There’s a lot to enjoy here, from the lakes and forests to the many activities in the region. The rooms are a good size, the staff are friendly, and I loved breakfast. We also ate really well at the hotel restaurant. The one thing that could use some attention is the room cleaning. Still, I recommend the hotel.

The quiet setting is beautiful, and the staff were helpful. The hotel felt carefully designed, right down to the outward-opening large doors, heated bathroom floor, and lovely pine-scented shampoo, conditioner and hand wash. Our bathroom seemed new, and the rest of the place was well maintained, so it didn’t feel old to us. Perhaps it has been renovated. We spotted a faint aurora from our room one night. There are places to eat nearby, plus a gift shop, an activity provider and a grocery store across the road.

The central location is a big plus, and housekeeping was excellent. The restaurant was okay. The rooms are spacious but could do with renovation, and the spa area feels dated.
