The breakfast buffet is laid out in a complete mess, like walking through a zombie apocalypse. The rooms aren't especially modern and are starting to show their age in several ways, but they're clean and everything works, even the AC, which is rare in Finland. Great location, and there's free parking on site.

The room was a bit noisy, though the bed was comfortable. It's right in the city centre, which is a good location. The hotel feels a little outdated, but it's okay, and the breakfast was good. The people were nice, too.

Breakfast had a great range of dishes, including fragrant echinacea elderberry tea bags and tasty, less fatty turkey bacon. The sauna is warm from 17:00 to 22:00, and there's a spacious pool with refreshing 18°C water. My room was quite spacious, with a comfortable mattress and a soft chair that's handy for working on a laptop. There was plenty of natural light, and the air felt pleasantly fresh. Noise came through clearly from outside the room, though, so the sound insulation could be better. It's a decent place in the middle of the city centre.

The service was great, but the food was average and the selection a bit narrower than at other Scandics. I booked the cheapest room for a quick rest before continuing my trip. It was clean overall, but the shower was disgusting, and the price didn't match the room quality even at that rate.
